About
Josh James
Stand-up comedian, podcaster and proper Essex man.
(01)Biography
Stand-up comedian and proper Essex man Josh James has quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting new voices in comedy. Born and raised in Brentwood, he was voted Essex Comedian of the Year in 2019, and his easy-going, cheeky-chappy delivery has been winning over rooms on the circuit ever since.
His nationwide debut tour, Doin’ Alright, sold out across the country and finished with a sell-out show at the Hackney Empire. The full special is now free to watch on YouTube.
Off stage, Josh hosts the cult hit podcast That Josh James Show with Romford’s number one podcaster Chris White, aka Whiteboy, and presents the drivetime show on national DAB station Fix Radio.
Online, he’s the creator of a run of viral sketches — football ultras, school dads, Essex versus East London — including an ongoing collaboration with DAZN, all told through one Essex geezer’s view of the world.
“Deceptively clever laddish jokes.”
